| Bournemouth is one of the south coast's most poplar resorts with
a traffic free sea front. Maybe have a stroll on The Overcliffe Drive
which is just 100 yards from the Hinton Firs Hotel which itself
is in a garden setting. During the season there are many extra things
to see and do. |
Day 1
After our doorstep pick ups we travel south via the motorway to Newbury, here we take a break for lunch, parking alongside the Kennet and Avon canal close to the town centre. After lunch we
head south to the Hinton Firs Hotel normally arriving before 4 pm which gives you plenty of time to settle in or maybe take a swim.
Day 2
A full day to take in the Dorset scenery with our visits to Salisbury & Shaftsbury, two totally different visits. The city of Salisbury with its Cathedral and River Avon running through the city and Shaftsbury the famous small town made famous by the Hovis advert. |
Day 3
A full day starting with a drive
through the New Forest to
visit to Lyndhurst, the capital.
After lunch we travel on to
Winchester with yet another
fi ne cathedral and connections
with King Arthur. We return to
Bournemouth via the direct
route.
Day 4
Today we visit Swanage, a pretty
resort and include a ride on the
Swanage Railway to Swanage
and on the return we travel
via Corfe Castle taking in the
wonderful coastal views.
Day 5
A day at leisure in Bournemouth.
Day 6
Sadly we have to return home
today retracing our steps
through the Midlands.

YOUR HOTEL - The Hinton Firs Hotel
This privately owned hotel is situated in tranquil, well manicured gardens on the prestigious East Cliff of Bournemouth. The hotel has an excellent reputation for personal care and attention to detail in a relaxing & homely setting. It has a bar and three elegant lounges overlooking the outdoor swimming pool & beautiful gardens. All the bedrooms have private facilities, colour TV, hairdryer, telephone & tea/coffee makers. The hotel also offers an indoor pool and some entertainment. A LIFT serves the main floors.
Price Includes: 5 Nights Dinner B & B, entertainment some nights, luxury coach travel, services of experienced tour driver, day excursions as listed, Door to Door pick ups. Use of hotel leisure facilities.
