Dutch Bulbfields & The Floriade
Van der Valk Hotel, Den Bocsh 9th April

Day 1
Our adventure begins with our door to door pick ups, then we journey on to York in time for lunch. We allow time to explore the City before we depart for Hull where we board the ship. After settling into our outside, low berth cabins it's time for dinner, a top quality buffet. Around 8 30pm the evening entertainment gets underway and the cabaret runs till 1am.
Day 2
We arrive at Rotterdam about 8.30 having had our breakfast onboard. We leave the ship and head to Kuekenhof Gardens, admission included. We spend the day here browsing the wonderful displays. We depart about 3.30pm to our hotel the Van der Valk at Nunland where we spend the next 3 nights.
Day 3
Floriade is our destination today, it's around an hour's drive from the hotel. This is the World Horticultural Expo, a great day out with many exhibitors on this fantastic site. Why not take a ride on Holland's longest cable car and view the displays from above, a truly great day out. We depart about 4pm and return to the hotel for dinner. Entrance is included.

Day 4
We slow the pace a little today by having a visit and guided tour of s-Hertogenbosch, always called Den Bosch. This is a beautiful little town with a wonderful cathedral and many interesting visits, our guide will show you the best.
Day 5
After breakfast we head back towards the coast and start by touring through some of the bulbfi elds, (we cannot guarantee fl owers but it would be the fi rst time if there were none) to Noordwijk ann Zee where we will have some time to explore this pretty seaside town set in the heart of the bulbfi elds. After lunch we travel down the coast through The Hague to Scheveningen which is The Hague's up market coastal resort. We have time to explore before heading back to Rotterdam and our overnight crossing to Hull.
Day 6
After breakfast on board we leave Hull about 9am and head for home via Skipton where we have a stop for a snack or a little shopping. It's also market day today so you could do your weekly shop! |
