| This tour travels through two national parks, The Lake District NP and
The Yorkshire Dales NP. |
Day 1
After our door to door pick ups we
head north to Lancaster. We will
have time for lunch and browse
the shops, before heading along
the old A6 to Shap Wells Hotel
where we check in with time to
relax before dinner.
Day 2
A hearty Cumbrian breakfast
then we set off in to the Yorkshire
Dales. Travelling via Sedbergh to
Hawes where we spend time in
this attractive town and fi nd some
lunch, maybe at the Rope Maker
or the Creamery. After lunch we
travel via Buttercups Pass, with
dramatic views all the way, and
Kirby Stephen to Appleby famous
for its Horse Fair. We return via
Orton to Shap Wells. |
Day 3
The Lake District National Park
today. We start by travelling to
Grange over Sands with time
to explore. Then via Cartmel to
Bowness where there is time to
go sailing if you wish. We depart
before 4pm and return to Shap
Wells.
Day 4
Today we go north, our fi rst stop
is Pooley Bridge where we join the
Ullswater Lake Cruiser. You sail to
Glenridding where the coach will
be waiting for you. Afterwards we
drive on to Keswick, then if time
allows we travel on to Caldbeck
before returning to Shap Wells.
Day 5
Sadly we leave for home today,
but we spend some time in Kendal
before heading home for mid
afternoon. |
