November shopkeepers and residents will be dressing up in period clothes for the fantastic market in the town. This really is a great day out for the family. A Christmas market will complement Ulverston’s wide array of independent shops, with a traditional fairground, music and entertainment all day. From humble beginnings over ten years ago the festival has grown into one of the highlights of the Ulverston calendar. The cobbled street and old buildings provide a perfect backdrop to one of the most popular Dickens themed festivals in the U.K.

Come and marvel at the elegant Mansion House filled with fresh flowers, foliage and lights, where you can see many of the rooms in the house. This attractive town set on the River Nidd and its castle owned by the Queen is our venue today, the town centre is a maze of small cobbled streets and period buildings. There are many stalls selling local products which are always great value for money. The Town Crier will announce many events i.e. Morris dancers, bands, and street entertainers. Just after 4pm make your way towards the Nidd Gorge for the finale, a fabulous Firework Spectacular.

This fine red sandstone city close to the Scottish Border has become one of our best visits for pre-Christmas Shopping. There are many smaller shops to explore alongside the well known chains and there is a small German style Christmas Market. There are many attractive buildings to explore for the none shoppers who are still looking for a good day out.

Christmas has gone and “The Sales” are here! We travel directly to Colne where you will have the chance to shop and get a coffee. At 1pm the coach will transfer you to Bannys for fish and chips with mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. After lunch we take you back to the store to hunt for more bargains.
