All excursions are pick up & set down on main roads close to your home as practical within our normal area.
All pick ups & drop offs are normally completed within 1 hour subject to traffic conditions. Some pick ups are by a feeder vehicle, and where the route allows passengers will be first on first off basis. The base time is at Golborne, so some times will be before this time and some will be after depending on the destination

We always advise pick up time times by phone the day before the excursion.

Today is the main day of this wonderful annual event, with the main streets closed for the steam fairground rides, lots of organs playing listen to old tyme music free all day, traction engines and vintage cars and old time prams etc you may even see Frosty Nickers from the tv quiz THE CHASE. Also many people in Victorian Dress why not join in the fun and dress up yourself, a truly great day out for all.

The final and most interesting day of the excellent weekend we hope to arrive in time for the Remembrance service/2 minute silence on church steps, lead by British Legion. Then Veterans Parade, led by Aircadets Band. Bradford Marching Pipe Band, Evacuees parade down Main Street, Evacuee bus arrives at Haworth Airbase to meet the Queen and re-enact 'Who will take this child'. Military Vehicles Classic Vehicles and much more subject to the weather we will have an RAF Flypast and all the shops will be open.

An extended day of wonderful scenery with mountains and coastlines and the best of The Little Trains of Wales, we journey along the motorway during which our hostess will serve you tea or coffee & biscuits, as we head into the very pretty Vale of Llangollen where we have a short stop for toilets, from here we follow the old stage coach route along the A5, then we make our way through little Switzerland passing Englands 7th Longest railway tunnel and the slate mines before we arrive at Blaenau Ffestiniog, we have a break here before boarding the 1150 steam hauled train to the pretty coastal town of Porthmadoc here there is time for lunch & shopping or sightseening, After lunch we follow the coast to Criccieth before travelling along the edge of The Snowdonia Nation Park to Caernarvon, then following The Menai Straits and the coast road to start our homeward journey with suitable short stop arriving back in our area about 7.30.

Garstang set in the rural Lancashire attracts many country folk to its popular street Market, we allow plenty of time to search out the bargains and maybe a little lunch, early afternoon we say goodbye and travel via the pretty countryside to Cleveleys where you can take a stroll along the now completed sea front or some time to search the shops for that bargain.

Today we journey directly to Whitby we hope to arrive at about 11.15 where we allow you plenty of time to explore, the town has connections with Capt. Cook & Bram Stoker of Dracula fame, and is one Yorkshires fine fishing ports, which is overlooked by its ruined abbey, we leave at 4.00 and have a short stop in the village of Goathland famous as Aidensfield in the Heartbeat story.

This attractive town in the heart of The Peak District National Park shows off its 5 dressed wells today, all are close to the town centre. Well dressing is the art of making pictures with flower petals and are placed at the site of a water well sometimes a former site is used, Today is also the towns market day with many interesting stalls some selling locally made items at reasonable prices, there are many places where you can eat.

We are expecting some of the older trams to be around on the day and of course the new Flexcity trams will be in service from Blackpool to Ash Street Fleetwood. The steam carousel will be here along with other fairground rides, miniature railway, dancers, bands, performers, and countless other forms of entertainment. The market will be open plus there will be many flee market stalls Or why not try a short ride on the new Flexcity trams.

This full day starts pleasant drive through Cheshire to visit the historic town of Oswestry its also market day today, we have a two hour stay, then we move on our boat Eirlys, departing about 12.15 we sail towards Llangollen during our trip there will be Chicken or Fish and Chips served (tell us when you book what you want) near the end of our two hours we sail across Thomas Telford's famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which is 126 feet above the valley and offering superb views. After leaving the boat we travel the short distance to Llangollen the remainder of the afternoon.

We travel direct to the olde world town Knaresborough, sat on the River Nidd, its street market is on today or you can go sightseeing to Mother Shiptons or visit the ruins of the castle, there are walks by the river too, plenty of eating places, after lunch we move to Harrogate this wonderful spa town with its modern shopping area and the famous Betty's Tea Room, we return via a different route.

Today we travel to one of the most attractive parts of England, with chocolate box scenes throughout the day, travelling via Evesham our first visit is the pretty village of Broadway here in this beautiful properties line the main street, Then onward with excellent views to Stow in the Wold, a hill top village full of charm, then finally Bourton in the Water, sat on the River Windrush, all these villages have coach parking very close to the attractions so walking is kept to a minimum.
