| Eastbourne |
 |
 |
| 1st September 8 days Half Board £399 |
| Eastbourne is everything a high quality British seaside resort should
be. With its beautiful promenade bordered by colourful floral banks
and overlooked by stylish hotels, this is the place to see and be
seen! The attractive Victorian pier, the famous bandstand and the
Napoleonic towers are also well worth investigating. Those who love
the sea and ships will enjoy the elegant Sovereign Yacht Harbour. It's
one of the most up-to-date marinas in Europe. Shopaholics will not be
disappointed, either. In fact, there's plenty for everyone. |
Day 1
We travel south via the
motorway network arriving at
the resort by 5.00pm allowing
time to check in and relax before
dinner.
Day 2
A lazy start today leaving the
hotel about 11am we take a
gentile drive to Beachy Head
allowing time to get some
lunch. We depart about 1pm
for a pleasant drive through the
country lane to Alfriston before
returning to hotel for 4.30.
Day 3
Today we travel the pretty coast
road via Newhaven to Brighton
where we set you down in the
centre of town on Madeira Drive
by the pier and the Volks railway,
and only a short walk to the
Royal Pavilion. We depart about
3pm to return to Haddon Hall.
|
Day 4
10am. Today we travel via
Pevensey & St Leonards to the
pretty coastal town of Hastings
where we allow you plenty of
time to explore and find lunch.
Afterwards we travel on to
Battle to view the abbey built
by William the Conqueror after
defeating King Harold.
Day 5
After breakfast we depart for
Royal Tunbridge Wells or as it
came to be known 'The Wells'
because of the spring discovered
in 1606. It is now surrounded by
the 'Pantiles', a covered walkway
in front of the shops and cafes.
We have plenty of time to
browse this attractive town.
Day 6-7
Days at leisure in Eastbourne.
Day 8
We travel home today arriving
late afternoon.
