This fine Red Sand stone building set just a few minutes walk from the town centre attractions of Dumfries provides us with a great base for our Hogmanay tour. There is a great entertainment programme and full leisure facilities (don’t forget your swimming gear) set amongst some wonderful scenery which we will be exploring.
Day 1
After our door to door pick ups we head north stopping for coffee along the way, then we cross the border and head into the Old Blacksmith shop for lunch, ( and just in case anyone needs to get married) we then travel on to The Cairndale and check in about 3pm. This allows you time to explore this fi ne town, check out the Midtown Steeple, Rabbie Burns & his wee dog, or time for a swim or relax before dinner and entertainment in the Park House Suite.
Day 2
A hearty Scottish breakfast, and we have a drive through the Dumfries and Galloway Forest Park with Hot Chocolate and Brandy served on the coach. Attractive and contrasting scenery as we travel through this undiscovered area of Scotland. Then, we stop for lunch in Castle Douglas, before travelling back to the Cairndale and our celebrations for Hogmanay all taking place in the Park House Suite.

Day 3
If we didn’t see you last evening Happy New Year, time to recover, breakfast from 10am to 11.30am.
This rest of the day is at leisure, how about a dip in the pool or a walk by the river. In the afternoon a sandwich lunch is served in the upstairs ballroom, then tonight it's back to Park House Suite for our last night of partying.
Day 4
Sadly we leave the The Cairndale and set off back into England, we stop in Kendal for lunch before we return to our area late afternoon.
