Gilsland Spa Hotel - Often known as the ‘The Spa’ the hotel stands on high ground in open countryside above the village on the River Irving. It offers great views of the area, there is nightly entertainment which makes breaks here great value.
Days excursions include: A morning takes us to Hexham where there is a small market, plus Hexham Abbey. The route of Hadrians Wall stopping at places of interest for photos. A full day excursion to Keswick with plenty of time to explore or maybe take a cruise on Derwentwater. Over the fells to Caldbeck to the home of John Peel. A trip to Gretna.
