This morning we travel to North Wales arriving at the royal town of Caernarfon with some free time at leisure. This afternoon is the highlight of our trip as we step back in time and take to the tracks of the Welsh Highland Railway, the UK’s longest heritage railway, for a magical steam train journey. Commencing from beneath the walls of mighty Caernarfon Castle sit back and relax on a 25-mile journey in your comfortable carriage passing along glorious coastlines, through ancient oak woodlands, rivers, the picturesque village of Beddgelert in the very heart of Snowdonia, over the Aberglasyn Pass and on to our eventual destination of the harbour town of Porthmadog. We return home by coach.
